Intro to Vector Graphics

In this 6-week course, high school students and adults will learn how to use the open-source software Inkscape. With a focus primarily on vector graphics, they will explore how vectors and raster images differ and will create marketing materials as a project for the class. For said project, they will design a business card, poster, and T-shirt.

AMT and Laser Cutting Club

Calendar Current session started Oct 15, 2020 at 4 pm, runs for 6 weeks

Students in grades 6+ will learn about equipment in our Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) shop, such as our laser cutters and 3D printers. Students will also be introduced to the software used to create designs for these machines. Topics explored include vector graphics, 3D modeling basics, materials options, and design principles. 


Laser-cut Pinhole Camera and Intro to Film Chemistry Workshop

Calendar Next available session starts Dec 5, 2020 at 1 pm, runs for 1 week

In this 3 hour workshop, students will assemble a working pinhole-camera from parts made on our laser cutter. And then your instructor will walk you through the entire process to take and develop photos on the camera you built.
