Middle School Life Science II - second semester
This is the second semester of a full year course.
This two-part course will meet for one hour a week for two semesters and is designed to serve as a supplement to a middle school general science or life science course for students in grades 6th - 8th. Although this course will involve some instruction, it will primarily serve as a laboratory experience to supplement at-home studies of course material. Emphasis will be given to note taking, introductory scientific writing, principles of experimentation, and data analysis/interpretation. The two-part course schedule is designed to follow the “Life Science For Middle School” textbook available from CK-12, although it will be appropriate for any course covering the topics found in this text. Course topics will include the following: cells, organelles, and organ systems; biotic and abiotic components of ecosystems; heredity; and natural selection.
This tuition for Middle School Life Science II includes a $50 lab materials fee.
